Prof. Dr. Nora Maria Raschle studierte Psychologie an der Universität Zürich, wo sie das Studium in 2007 mit dem Lizentiat in Neuropsychologie abschloss. Anschliessend befasste sie sich an der Universität Zürich in Kooperation mit dem Boston Children’s Hospital and Harvard Medical School in Boston (USA) mit ihrer Dissertation zum Thema „Investigating neuronal and behavioral premarkers of developmental dyslexia prior to reading onset“ und promovierte im Jahr 2011. Prof. Raschle verbrachte danach zwei Jahre als Postdoktorandin in den Laboratories of Cognitive Neuroscience at the Children’s Hospital and Harvard Medical School Boston (USA), bevor sie in 2013 nach Basel (Schweiz) zurückkehrte. Dort arbeitete sie als Wissenschaftlerin und war für die Bildgebungsstudien an der Kinder und Jugendpsychiatrischen Abteilung der Psychiatrischen Universitätskliniken und der Universität in Basel verantwortlich.
Prof. Raschle’s Fokus liegt im Bereich der Grundlagenforschung von entwicklungsbezogenen oder psychiatrischen Störungsbildern im Kindes- und Jugendalter. Dabei steht die frühzeitige Erkennung und Charakterisierung von Störungsbildern von Kinder und Jugendlichen anhand von struktureller und funktioneller Magnetresonanztomographie im Vordergrund.
