At the Research Unit Neuropsychology and Cognitive Neuroscience we are particularly interested in finding out how the human brain manages coordinating complex, cognitive processes, such as short-term memory storage, working memory processes, interaction between long and short-term memory, attentional functions, or cognitive and action control. To study these topics we mainly use electrophysiological methods like electroencephalography (EEG), transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS), or transcranial direct current and alternating current stimulation (tDCS and tACS), and their combination.
