Licensing Citavi

Citavi is a reference management software. It supports students and researchers in their daily scientific work. References can be tagged and categorized. For every text you can excerpt the most important quotations, organize them systematically, and combine them with your own ideas, comments, and section drafts. Insert a quotation, and everything is formatted according to the citation style you selected, whether you're using footnotes or in-text citations. All references you cite appear automatically in the bibliography – formatted according to the citation style's specifications.

You might use Citavi as a desktop application for Microsoft Windows (see online manual) or as a web application (see online manual).

Follow these instructions to start using Citavi Web.

Using Citavi for Windows

1. Download and install the Citavi installation package from the UZH portal.
   If necessary, check the integrity of the download package using SHA512.
2. Follow these instructions to create a Citavi account.
   (A valid campus licence will be assigned to you automatically as long as you can log in to the Citavi account with your University of Zurich mail address).
3. Use your Citavi account to log in to Citavi for Windows.
